HHH and WWE Helping with Barry Windham’s Recovery, More on His Recent Health Scare

WWE Hall of Famer Blackjack Mulligan told Mike Mooneyham of The Post & Courier that it was actually his wife that found their son Barry Windham at the family’s ranch in Florida last month. He said: “He just fell. He passed out. He was totally out of it when we found him. He couldn’t hear me. I asked him how many fingers I had, and he said he didn’t know. He couldn’t raise his right hand and couldn’t move his right fingers.” “He obviously fell, but we don’t know why. It could have been all day before we found him. By then the organs were failing, and he didn’t even recognize us.” Mulligan also says that Windham’s left knee was “the size of a cantaloupe” from the fall and that his right foot had been turned in a 45-degree angle and spun inside his femur. Windham’s left knee was dislocated, his right wrist was broken from the fall and he suffered elbow injuries as well as a big knot on the back of his head. There was fear that Windham had suffered a chipped or broken neck that was affecting the nerves in his arm and leg but Windham did recover feeling in his fingers and toes. Windham did have a heart attack and the heart procedure went well. Doctors said there was minimal damage and that Windham had a big, strong heart. Mulligan says that his son is facing long-term rehab and possibly knee/leg surgery. He said, “It’s going to be a long deal. It was a very close call … we almost lost him.” Mulligan revealed that WWE is paying for Windham’s rehab treatments as Triple H, Windham’s longtime friend, approved all of the funding. Mulligan said, “A big, black Cadillac limo pulled up to the hospital. A chauffeur got out, and two doctors put him (Windham) in the back of an ambulance and whisked him off. He’s at a place where they’re taking care of all of his problems. He’s being ministered to physically and spiritually.”

Miami Preparing for WrestleMania 28, News on How the City Won WWE Over

- The Miami Herald has a new article up looking at what city officials had to do to bring WrestleMania 28 to their city next year. City officials promised WWE a $250,000 subsidy, along with other perks, and access to Miami-Dade county’s three largest venues – Sun Life Stadium, the Miami Beach Convention Center and the American Airlines Arena. To get Miami in the mood for ‘Mania, city officials will be hanging WrestleMania banners from light posts along the highways and around 200 volunteers from the city will be recruited to help man the many WWE events during the week. Said Mike Sophia, head of the Miami-Dade Sports Commission: “This event is as big as it gets. WrestleMania is up there in the league with Super Bowls and Final Fours. To be honest with you, when I got the [WrestleMania] bid book, I looked at it and I put it on the corner of my desk and I said, ‘Nah, this isn’t us’” Sophia said. He then realized that WWE’s WrestleMania “looks exactly like a Super Bowl. It’s exactly something we could and should do. If you want to sit down and split hairs as to whether it strictly fits the definition of a sporting event, I’m not going to have a great argument.”

News on UFC 140, New Age Outlaws, Bellator rating, more

- Bellator 55 ratings dip slightly with 168,000 viewers tuning into MTV2. - Jared Hamman vs. Constantinos Philippou is on tap for UFC 140. - From Mike Informer: Pro wrestling legend to visit William Penn - From Lekisha Oliver: New Age Outlaws to Reunite at Crossfire Wrestling fans can quote the lines by heart. But this November, the fans will not only have to follow along, but they will get to see one of the greatest tag teams in wrestling history reunite at the Tennessee State Fairgrounds when BG James will make his return, but bring Billy Gunn along with him to reunite The New Age Outlaws! James and Gunn have been together as a tag team since 1997 and the tag team world hasn’t been the same since. The Badd Ass and The Road Dogg would come together by chance, but would remain together to dominate the tag team since. Holding the WWE Tag Team Championships five times, the duo would be on top until they would go separate paths for singles championships. However, Nashville’s TNA Wrestling would reunite the duo under 4Live Kru, but they would head towards the James Gang name and then take up the Voodoo Kin Mafia until they dissolved the team in 2008. But the popularity of New Age Outlaws can be seen every time either “Roaddog” BG James or Billy Gunn enters an arena. So the management at Crossfire Entertainment has heard the voices and will be bringing in the duo to reunite in Nashville! On Saturday, November 5, 2011, Crossfire Entertainment will present A New Beginning with New Age Outlaws hitting the ring to face off against one of Nashville’s top tag teams in the Diamonds in the Rough. For ticket information on A New Beginning, head over to Crossfire Entertainment’s website at www.crossfirellc.vze.com to pick up seats. The tickets are selling out fast so make sure to get your ticket for A New Beginning to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation!

Chris Jericho's Band Involved In Bus Accident, Jillian Hall To Pen 'Dramatic' Book

-- Former WWE Divas Champion Jillian Hall revealed on Twitter that she is in the early stages of her autobiography.

"My story (which few know) is very dramatic and unexpected. As of now, in the beginning stages of writing a book. I'm doing this for me," she wrote. "Hope to have people's support but know there will always be negativity. What I'm writing will give you a completely different opinion of me."

-- Chris Jericho's band Fozzy was involved in an automobile accident last night in Europe as the tour bus he was traveling on skidded on two wheels for fifty feet, resulting in the side door being torn off. The former WWE Superstar and his band mates are okay, though their scheduled appearance tonight in Denmark is canceled.

"Last night as I was riding on the Anthrax bus, Fozzy's bus was in an accident. The band is ok thank God, but the bus is trashed so we won't be able to play the show in Denmark tonight. Hamburg is still on for tomorrow. Its a miracle nobody got hurt, as the bus skidded on two wheels for 50 feet and the side door was completely torn off. Say a prayer for the boys and stay tuned for more info.

Former WWE Star Finlay Comments on His Release

Earlier this year, former WWE superstar Finaly, who was working as an agent/producer behind the scenes at the time, was fired after booking an angle where The Miz interrupted the National Anthem at a live WWE event – which caused an uproar among the National Guard servicemen who were in attendance.

Finaly recently spoke to the UK’s Fighting Spirit magazine and had this to say about the situation:

“I was given a lot of leeway and a lot of power in WWE, and that comes with a lot of responsibility. I made a call that caused a storm and I paid for it. They play the American national anthem over here before every event. We had Miz going out first and, because it was just before WrestleMania, we were trying to get as much heat on him as possible. So my spur-of-the-moment call, as I sat right by the technician, was to tell him to hit Miz’s music while they were half-way through the national anthem. Of course, people were up in arms about it, but it was a good reaction as a heel. But there were National Guard people in the building that took exception to it, and I understand that fully. It wasn’t intended to insult anybody in that way — it was just part of an entertaining show. That’s what we do, we entertain — it’s about cheers and boos.”

Big Update On CM Punk's Negotiations With WWE

With less than one week to go until WWE's Money In The Bank pay-per-view, we've got a big update on CM Punk's WWE future.

According to a reliable insider source, today is "the day" for CM Punk in regards to both sides coming to terms on a new deal. One source was quoted over the weekend saying:

"This is very much like the Jericho and Jeff Hardy situations. Punk's contract has already expired, but he signed an extension through the pay per view in order to work the main event with Cena in Chicago."

While Punk has not been the most popular superstar behind the scenes in recent months, WWE management is not oblivious to the lack of star power currently on the WWE roster. Following the recent retirement of Edge, the departures of other PPV main eventers like Batista, Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho, Punk's value to WWE has never been higher.

With Punk's WWE contract set to expire this weekend after Sunday's Money in the Bank pay-per-view, this will be a very interesting week in WWE.

ESPN to do a feature on Scott Hall

ESPN’s magazine show E:60 is planning to film a story on Scott Hall when he is released from jail and returns to pro wrestling for an independent show (I Believe in Wrestling) to manage Santana and Lince Dorado in a mixed match on 7/16 in Orlando, FL. ESPN plans to film Hall before the match, during the match, and after the match. No word yet on an air date for the story

WWE Raw Results: 7/11/2011

CM Punks music hits as he comes out carrying a megaphone to the ring. Punk then gets on a headset to tell the producers not to turn off his microphone. Punk then sits down in the middle of the ring and says he was suspended by Vince McMahon due to some things he said two weeks ago. He said he got in trouble for saying things that no one else has the balls to say.

Punk goes on to say that he is reinstated tonight and his match against John Cena is still on. Punk says McMahon wants to desperately sign him to a new contract and sees him as the hottest property in the industry today, which is why he was given a live microphone tonight. Punk says he made WWE socially relevant and says they only get mentioned by the media when he has a microphone or if someone dies.

Punk says McMahon finally sees what he has in Punk and wants to give him everything that he wants. The crowd begins a “CM Punk” chant as he continues to say that he knows McMahon likes to do things that has never been done and wants to have live contract negotiations on television tonight. Punk says maybe he will sign and maybe he might have McMahon join the CM Punk “Kiss My Ass” club.

John Cena’s music interrupts Punk as he comes out down to the ring. Punk thanks Cena for getting him reinstated to a job that he really didn’t want. Punk goes on to say that he will change up the ugly championship title after he wins it on Sunday. Punk says he doesn’t have to worry about getting fired because Cena was fired a couple months ago and that last all of a week.

Cena says he is out there to set him straight and tells him that Punk has to go through him to get the WWE Championship. Cena says he isn’t a pushover and says that he is the best because he is the champion and that he has earned it. Cena says many people have said that they are the best wrestler, but he has proven the likes of Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Eddie Guerrero and Kurt Angle wrong. Cena says he is going to Chicago to kick his ass.

The GM alert goes off as Michael Cole reads the email to say that Vince McMahon is on his way to Raw to negotiate with CM Punk. It also says that since it may be the last Raw that Cena is on, he will be in a very special match, and that match is up next as we head into a commercial break.

Match 1: John Cena vs. David Otunga & Michael McGillicutty (Handicap Match)
John Cena is taking on the WWE Tag Team Champions in a handicap match. Otunga starts out against Cena and quickly tags in McGillicutty after Cena put him in a head lock. Cena takes McGillicutty down with a hip toss and a dropkick as McGillicutty rolls out to the floor and regroups with Otunga as we head into a commercial break.

We return to the match as see that Cena has lost control of the match after Otunga tossed him into the guard railing. McGillicutty and Otunga continue to methodically work over Cena in the ring until he catches Otunga with a suplex. McGillicutty is tagged in and Cena unloads a flurry of offense and goes for the Attitude Adjustment but Otunga breaks it up.

McGillicutty regains control of the match and goes for a superplex but Cena fights out of it and hits McGillicutty with a leg drop from the top rope. Cena then puts McGillicutty in an STF but Otunga breaks it up. The two double team Cena for a bit before Cena comes back and hits McGillicutty with an Attitude Adjustment and tosses Otunga out to the floor before picking up the pin fall.

The announce team hypes the live contract negotiations between CM Punk and Vince McMahon as we head into a commercial break.

We see live footage of Boston, MA, as the season premiere of Haven on SyFy takes place this Friday and it guest stars Edge. The announce team then hype the upcoming match between Mark Henry and the Big Show as we are treated to a video package that focuses on Henry’s dominance in the ring and him taking out the Big Show and a production assistant.

Dolph Ziggler and Vicki Guerrero are backstage and are rehearsing what Ziggler is going to say to Vince McMahon tonight. Ziggler thinks that he should fire both CM Punk and John Cena and make the US Championship the top title in the company. Drew McIntyre comes in and pretends to be McMahon as the three all insult McMahon before he walks on camera.

McMahon says both Ziggler and McIntyre are his two fastest rising stars and says they need to be in the spotlight. McMahon suggests that the two team up in a handicap match against the Big Show. McMahon then chases them off for hearing their insults before being questioned by the backstage interviewer who says the whole world wants to know what will happen in tonight’s live contract negotiations. He responds by telling the whole world to go to hell.

Kelly Kelly is walking backstage with the Divas Championship and she is in action next as we head into a commercial break.

We see footage of Kelly Kelly winning the Divas Championship last month. This brings us into the next match of the night.

Match 2: Melina vs. Kelly Kelly
The Bella Twins have joined the announce team for this match. Melina starts out strong against the champion but Kelly Kelly fights back and takes Melina down with a neckbreaker for a near fall. Kelly Kelly then takes Melina out with a Fameasser to pick up the pin fall.

The Bella’s then come to the ring and make fun of Kelly Kelly’s small figure and her need for Proactive. Kelly Kelly has had enough and begins to fight with the Bella’s as Eve comes in to help out but they are both taken out.

The announce team hypes the contract negotiations and we see the Miz walking backstage and he will be out after the commercial break.

We see a recap of Alex Riley defeating the Miz last week on Raw. After the match, Miz got a bit of payback by taking Riley out. The Miz’s music hits as he comes out to the ring that has ladders in and around it. Miz sits on top of a ladder and says he knows what it is all about by turning the Money in the Bank contract into a title. Miz says none of his opponents can say that and they will find out that he still has what it takes to be a champion. Miz says he is still the future and all of the pretenders will find out why his is awesome.

Jack Swagger cuts off the Miz and says that he has also won the Money in the Bank ladder match and went on to become a World Champion. Swagger says he will go on to do it again as Miz asks if someone wins the MitB and nobody remembers it, did it really happen? Evan Bourne comes out and says he is going to steal the show on Sunday and win MitB.

Kofi Kingston is the next one out and says he appreciates everyone’s confidence but says it is an 8-man ladder match where they but their careers and their futures on the line. Kofi says he isn’t going to win by what he says tonight, but what he does in the ring on Sunday.

R-Truth comes out and says the conspiracy against him continues as he beat John Cena two weeks ago, but now he has to climb a ladder and grab a briefcase. Truth says he has arachnophobia and is scared of heights and says the grits are going to hit the pan if there is a spider in the briefcase.

Alex Riley then comes out and the Miz leaves the ring and he is followed by Alberto Del Rio. Del Rio says it is a disgrace that he even has to be in the MitB match as he beat Rey Mysterio for the #1 contender spot. Del Rio says Cena is afraid of him and he has to do it all over again to show everyone that it is his destiny to become the WWE Champion.

The GM alert goes off as Michael Cole reads the email that says Albert Del Rio has a point and books a 6-man tag team match. It will be the Miz, Jack Swagger and R-Truth against Evan Bourne, Alex Riley and Kofi Kingston, which will start right now as we head into a commercial break.

A video package that highlights the Big Show’s appearance on Burn Notice is aired. That episode takes place this Thursday on USA.

Match 3: The Miz/Jack Swagger/R-Truth vs. Evan Bourne/Alex Riley/Kofi Kingston
We join the match in process as Swagger takes Bourne down with a slam. Swagger, Miz, and Truth isolate Bourne in their corner and work him over with quick tags, picking up a few near falls in the process. Bourne fights back and knees Truth in the chin before tagging Kingston into the match.

Kingston takes Truth down with a flurry of offense before connecting with a Boom Drop. Kingston then hits a high cross body block but the Miz breaks up the pin attempt. Truth then knocks Kingston out to the floor and tags in the Miz as we head into a commercial break.

We return to see the Miz still in control over Kingston as he turns the match over to Truth. Truth works over Kingston with a head scissors before tagging Swagger into the match. Kingston begins to fight back and takes both Truth and Swagger down with a double DDT before tagging Riley into the match.

Riley comes in and hits Swagger with a spinebuster and this match breaks down with bodies going all over the place. Riley then takes Swagger down with a DDT to pick up the pin fall, however, Miz cuts the celebration short by taking Riley out with the Skull Crushing Finale. Kingston then dropkicks Miz out to the floor and Truth sends Kingston out to the floor.

Bourne connects with a superkick on Truth and heads to the top rope but Alberto Del Rio knocks him down and slides a ladder into the ring. Del Rio takes everyone out with the ladder before tossing it over the ropes and onto the Miz. Del Rio then stares up at the Money in the Bank briefcase.

A video package highlighting CM Punk’s suspension and how John Cena will be fired if he loses the WWE Championship. The announce team again hypes the live contract negotiations between CM Punk and Vince McMahon.

Match 4: Dolph Ziggler & Drew McIntyre vs. the Big Show (Handicap Match)
The bell rings and Ziggler immediately tags McIntyre into the match. McIntyre comes in and Big Show tosses him around the ring and takes him out with a slam as Ziggler hides on the floor. Big Show tosses McIntyre out to the floor and sends him into the guard railing and up the entrance ramp. The referee calls for the bell as Show sends McIntyre into the WWE logo on top of the entrance ramp.

Big Show then goes to chokeslam McIntyre off the stage but Mark Henry comes out and runs all three of them go off the stage. They all go crashing through the side of the stage as referees come out to check on everybody. We see a few replays from different angles as we head into a commercial break.

We see footage of Fenway Park and we return to the arena to see Mark Henry is being helped out of the destruction he caused. The announce team breaks down what just happened between them before we are treated to a replay of what happened after the 6-man tag team match. The announce team continue to talk about the Money in the Bank ladder match before we are treated to a video package of past MitB matches before the announce team runs down the Money in the Bank card.

Vince McMahon and CM Punk are seen walking in the backstage area as the live contract negotiations are coming up next.

Vince McMahon’s music hits as he plays to the crowd and shakes John Cena’s father’s hand before entering the ring. McMahon says he will not be joining CM Punk’s “Kiss My Ass Club,” and goes on to say that contracts should not be negotiated in public. McMahon then invites Punk down to the ring so they can get on with the negotiations as he has a plane to catch.

Punk’s music hits as he imitates McMahon’s walk to the ring. McMahon offers to shake Punk’s hand once he gets to the ring but Punk just stares him down. McMahon says everything he wanted is in the contract, even his own collectors cup, and tells him to sign the papers.

Punk says McMahon is actually going to go through with this and says that he has a lack of faith in John Cena this Sunday. McMahon says he wants Punk to sign the contract for all the right reasons and for the reason that he doesn’t want someone to walk off with the WWE Championship on his last day of the company.

Punk, who McMahon referred to as Phil, says his lawyers looked over the contract and it wasn’t good enough for him. Punk says he added a few new perks, such as his own jet, and not McMahon’s jet, but his own. Punk also wants his face on everything like the turnbuckles and to bring back the WWE Ice Cream Bars so he can be on them.

He also wants WWE Studios to make a new CM Punk movie, like the Chaperone 2, but it will actually be funny. Furthermore, he can keep John Cena vs. the Rock at WrestleMania, but Punk will be in the real main event. Finally, he wants McMahon for suspending him last week and to the fans for being a hypocrite with his anti-bullying campaign as McMahon is the biggest bully of them all.

The fans start a huge “CM Punk” chant as Punk brings up the fact that he has had friends who have been fired from the WWE for no reason because McMahon doesn’t know what it takes to make a star in 2011. Punk says McMahon will apologize to Punk for Colt Cabana and Luke Gallows since they can’t be there in person.

Punk says he is the voice of the voiceless as McMahon tells him to calm down and that they should be gentlemen about this. Punk tells him to sign the contract and apologize so he can spare his company any further embarrassment. Punk them turns over the table as the fans begin to chant and McMahon tells them that he doesn’t give a damn about what they want.

Punk says that’s the problem as McMahon doesn’t care what they want and he cares too much. Punk then says Boston wants to hear an apology as McMahon gives out a quiet “I’m sorry.” Punk wants him to say it louder as he gets McMahon to do it as the fans begin to cheer.

McMahon finally picks up the contract and is about to sign it as he is cut off by John Cena’s music. Cena steps into the ring says that they are acting like a bunch of kids. Cena says he hates McMahon but he shows up to work everyday because the fans paid a lot of money to be here. Cena calls Punk a hypocrite and says he making demands that he knows McMahon can’t meet.

Cena says he has admired Punk because he marches to the beat of his own drum, but he has lost sight of things. Punk cuts him off and says Cena he doesn’t fit a certain mold, which is why he is going to leave. Punk says he is looked at as the kid that can’t hang. Punk says Cena has lost sight of what he is, and he has become the thing he hates. He is no longer the underdog like the Boston Red Sox or the Boston Bruins, but he become a 10-time dynasty. He is now the New York Yankees.

Cena punches Punk in the face as Punk leaves the ring and sits on the entrance ramp. Punk says he realizes that reason he doesn’t want to be in the WWE is because he is tired. Punk then says on Sunday night they can say goodbye to the WWE Championship, say goodbye to John Cena and say goodbye to CM Punk as he rips up the contract. Punk says he will go be the best in the world somewhere else as Raw comes to a close.

NWA World title stripped!

CHARLOTTE, NC: The NWA has been informed that The Sheik has pulled out of his scheduled title defense on July 31st at the Ohio St. Fair against 3-time champion Adam Pearce. It is not clear at this time as to the reasons behind The Sheik’s refusal to go through with this bout. The NWA first received an inkling of the issue when it was noted that the long-awaited showdown was no longer on The Sheik’s calendar. When contacted, The Sheik’s camp confirmed that he would not be appearing for the eagerly-anticipated battle.

Faced with this refusal, the NWA Board of Directors held an emergency teleconference, with the result being that The Sheik has been stripped of the NWA World Heavyweight Championship, effective immediately. “This is not something the NWA does lightly”, said Executive Director, Robert K. Trobich. “We prefer that the title be settled in the ring”.

The vacant title will be filled by the new main event for the July 31st show: A three-way match between the man who was promised the shot, 3-Time Champ, Scrap Iron Adam Pearce, and the holders of the two other most prestigious belts in the NWA, National Champion, Chance Prophet, and North American Champion, Shaun Tempers!

McMahon suspends CM Punk

From WWE.com

WWE Chairman Vince McMahon suspends CM Punk

Raw’s abrupt conclusion Monday night was not due to technical difficulties. The decision to suddenly end the broadcast in that manner was made by WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon, who gave this quote to WWE.com:

“CM Punk was suspended indefinitely for his unprofessional conduct as soon as Raw went off the air.”

With his WWE contract expiring on July 17, one can only assume that this suspension effectively terminates CM Punk’s tenure with WWE.

Says he is the only real thing. Says the company will not promote him as he is not on the program and not on some crappy show on the USA network and he is not on the poster of Wrestlemania. The fact that Dwayne is in the main event of Wrestlemania and not him makes him sick. The people cheer and Punk tells the fans that the people should not cheer because they are one of the biggest reasons he is leaving. Says he might take the WWE title and defend it in New Japan Pro Wrestling or Ring of Honor. Says hi to Colt Cabana in the camera. Says Vince should be a billionaire but is only a millionaire and that is because he surrounds himself with yes men. The company might be better off when he dies but his daughter and the rest of his stupid family are going to take control of the company. Punk is about to tell a personal story about Vince and his Bully campaign but the microphone is cut off and Raw leave the air with Punk yelling about being cutoff.

BREAKING NEWS! "Macho Man" Randy Savage Dies...

UPDATED!!!

We are all deeply sadened by the news on this Friday Morning of his Death, He was one of the Greatest Wrestlers of all time and will be greatly missed.

Story by MyfoxAustin.com

SEMINOLE - World-famous wrestler Randy 'Macho Man' Savage, known for his "Ohh yeah" catch phrase, died after a car accident today in Seminole.

Savage was behind the wheel of his Jeep Wrangler, heading west on State Road 694, around 9:30 this morning. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the Jeep veered out of control, went over a concrete median, crossed over the eastbound lanes, and collided head-on with a tree near the intersection with 113th St. N.

Savage was rushed to Largo Medical Center, where he died. His 56-year-old wife Lynn was also in the car and suffered minor injuries.

The 58-year-old may have suffered a "medical event" before the crash, according to the accident report. TMZ.com, which broke the story, reported that Savage lost control of the Jeep because he had a heart attack.

Savage, whose real name was Randall Mario Poffo, began wrestling with the WWF back in 1985. He became one of the league's most popular stars and was known for his catch phrase: the deep-throated, raspy, over-the-top "Ohhh yeah."

Even non-wrestling fans would likely recognize the line thanks to Savage's frequent appearances in television commercials for Slim Jim beef jerky snacks.

Before his wrestling days, the Ohio native played minor league baseball for several teams. He ended his baseball career with the Tampa Tarpons in 1974.

Savage had just celebrated his one-year anniversary with Lynn, his second wife.

His fellow wrestlers, many of whom also live in the Tampa area, sent their condolences via Twitter. Hulk Hogan had just ended a decade-long feud with Savage and said he was "devastated."

"He had so much life in his eyes & in his spirit, I just pray that he's happy and in a better place and we miss him," tweeted Hogan.

"You were one of my childhood inspirations and heros [sic]. Strength, love and prayers to the Savage/Poffo family," added Dwayne Johnson, better known as 'The Rock.'

WWE RAW Results - May 16, 2011

Live from San Antonio, TX:

by J Wilson

RAW is kicked off with an opening promo by John Cena to his typical mixed reaction. before he can even start, he is cut off by Alex Riley, who tells him to save it because he’s heard it before and has Cena look at a Miz montage consisting of their match at WrestleMania, their match at Extreme Rules and many other times where Miz whipped Cena’s ass.

A Ry then introduces Miz to the typical Cole mark out we’ve come to expect these last months. A Ry talks down to the crowd, saying that they said he didn’t have it. He then hated on the home town San Antonio Spurs for some cheap heat. A Ry says Miz will prove everyone wrong because he will never utter the words “I Quit”.

Cena’s turn to talk, who calls A Ry “as stupid as he is useless”. And says Miz would also never say Miz would pass on Jonas Brothers tickets, that Miz would not stop playing with My Little Pony, and that Miz has testicles. All kidding aside, Cena said he respects Miz but he chose the I Quit match for a reason: fear. He sees fear in The Miz’s eyes. GM intervention time, the anonymous GM says as long that A Ry and Miz aren’t involved, they can pick the match and opponent for Cena tonight. Miz says he doesn’t know Cena’s opponent or the stipulation. But he knows one thing: it’ll be awesome. Cole talks Miz up again while King wonders what Miz will decide.

Time for the first match of the night as Kofi Kingston makes his way out first, he will be facing CM Punk, accompanied by The Nexus tonight. The broadcasters relive last week when CM Punk interfered in Kane/Mason Ryan and got a KO punch for his trouble by Big Show.

Kofi Kingston vs. CM Punk (w/ The Nexus)
Punk starts with a tight headlock then gets a tackle. But the advantage is short lived as Kofi gives him a flying elbow after dodging him twice. Kofi is in control right now but now for long as is drops Kofi’s neck on the top rope. Snapmare and elbows to the chest followed by a cover for two. This is followed by a reverse chin lock. Cover for two. Punk goes to the top rope but gets hit by Kofi. Kofi to the top and a cross body for two. The Nexus stand on the ramp and are antsy. Kofi does his trademark legdrop and looks for Trouble in Paradise but doesn’t get it, Punk tries GTS but gets nothing. Kofi tires to go up to try his punches but Punk anticipates and Kofi falls awkwardly. GTS by Punk for three.

WINNER: CM Punk

Punk says everyone saw Leadership by example. He says he does things his way and that he won’t stop until all of Nexus is the most dominant force anyone has seen.

Divas competition is up next. Kelly Kelly, who King calls one of the most beautiful of all time. She will be facing off against Brie Bella, the current Divas Champion.

Kelly Kelly vs. Brie Bella
Things start off with Brie in control briefly until Kelly reverses an arm wrench. Then Brie hangs Kelly on the middle rope and Nikki gets a shot in. Brie misses a leg drop and gets spanked followed by her signature hurricanrana and her backflip splash for two. Brie gets an edge but then Kelly slams her and pins her unorthodoxly for three! But then both Bellas double team Kelly Kelly.

WINNER: Kelly Kelly

Uh oh…Kharma is coming. She seems to be eyeing Kelly Kelly but then the Bellas try to knock Kharma down and fail miserably. Kharma asserts her authority, eventually landing an Implant Buster on one of the sisters. Eyes back on Kelly Kelly, who is scared for her life. Kharma grabs her by the chin and picks her up to her feet and flicks her in the head laughing before she leaves the ring.

We are treated to a vignette from “That’s What I Am”.

619 time as Rey Mysterio comes out. Josh Mathews and King relive when R-Truth ambushed Rey. He comes out and talks about R-Truth’s actions the prior week. He talks about knowing how it feels to be passed over but he doesn’t blame others for his problems or flip out when he doesn’t get his way. He wants to handle his business like a man and calls out R-Truth to show him why he didn’t deserve a main event spot.

Yay Commercial Break.

Back on RAW and R-Truth has made no appearance. Instead, Rey gets Alberto Del Rio. Who introduces himself…but of course we already know his name, especially Rey, who he again calls a Chihuahua. He says Rey is the reason he isn’t facing Cena. Says Rey does not deserve to be in the same show as himself because he’s a full-blooded Mexican, unlike the people in San Antonio. He said the US wanted him and gave him everything to come here.

Rey says he won’t let Del Rio disrespect HIS people. He says he is proud to be Chicano and American at the same time. And if R-Truth doesn’t want to show, he has no problem shutting Del Rio up. The match begins!

Rey Mysterio vs. Alberto Del Rio
ReyRey gets early swings and a hurricanrana after Alberto tries to counter. Rey uses his quickness to his advantage until Del Rio does a top rope arm breaker and a drop kick as we head to a commercial.

We come back and Del Rio is in control. Cover for two. Del Rio continues to work on the arm of ReyRey. Another cover for two. Back to the arm yet again. Rey fights backs back only to get an enziguiri to the skull for two. Rey kicks Del Rio’s legs, but get dropkicked for one. And back to the arm once again with a grounded hammerlock. Rey slow to work to his feet. Elbows to Del Rio’s face and an arm drag. Kick to the chest by Rey and Del Rio gets sent to the outside. All of a sudden, R-Truth starts shouting on a mic distracting him so Del Rio can seemingly get a win but Rey with the high cross body for two! In the corner and a seated splash and a hurricanrana! Goes for a 619 but Ricardo Rodriguez interferes drawing the DQ. Del Rio looks to punish after the fact.

WINNER by DISQUALIFICATION: Rey Mysterio

Del Rio goes off but R-Truth takes over and beats ReyRey down then hits a Lie Detector. He asks for a mic and asks Rey what he’s doing. He asks who Rey is to call him out. R-Truth says no one makes the challenges but him. He says this Sunday, Rey is “gonna get got” and proceeds to beat him down before taking off up the ramp.

NEXT: Cole vs. Lawler Contract Signing

Both Michael Cole (with Swagger) and Jerry Lawler are in the ring. Cole welcomes us to the contract signing for his match. He starts taunting Lawler. He says he will only sign the contract if he reiterates the stipulation. Lawler reminds Cole that he never beat him legitimately, but if he DOES win, he will give Cole his ring and personally induct him. Cole signs immediately followed by King. Cole says he believes in full disclosure. He says King didn’t read the contract. The match this sunday is a “Kiss my foot” match…oy….he shows the footage last month of J.R. kissing his foot and then taunts him. Cole then brings up that King has experience kissing feet and shows the 1995 King of the Ring where King has Bret Hart’s foot in his mouth literally. Cole then shows his nasty foot again. King cuts Colt off mid-sentence, and says he couldn’t even compare to Swagger. He doesn’t like Swagger but respects him. But says he should congratulate Cole, because he made Swagger a sidekick. Cole starts spouting off unwisely about Swagger. Swagger doesn’t like that and gets in Cole’s face. What Swagger says is incoherent, but if I had to interpret, I think he said “Cole, you’re on your own this Sunday.” Then Cole tries to warm up to everyone, including King. No one buys it. King says it’s too late, this Sunday, he will stick his foot in Cole’s mouth and close it for good! Loud Jerry chants and crying from Cole close this segment.

Kane and Big Show are in action….NEXT!

King pokes fun at Cole, who doesn’t find any humor in the situation that just transpired. We’re ready for Tag Team action as the Champions make their way to the ring. A match has been made official, the Champions vs. CM Punk and Mason Ryan for the Championships this Sunday. But tonight, the Champions get McGillicutty and Otunga.

Kane & Big Show vs. David “A-List” Otunga & Michael McGillicutty
Kane and McGillicutty start. Kane understandably starts with the advantage with some clotheslines and slams. First cover for two. Tag to Big Show who gives McGillicutty a big chop followed by another. Irish whip, McGillicutty. kicks him and tries to cut Big Shows legs out. Otunga tags in and keeps Big Show down. Cover for one. McGillicutty tags in and gets nearfalls. Otunga back in keeping each other fresh. McGillicutty back in with a leg lock. Show uses his free leg to slam McGillicutty to the mat. Otguna tagged in again. Nexus playing smart, keeping Big Show down. But then Show grabs Otunga’s throat but is countered, but recountered and both men are down. Otunga tries to keep Show away but gets the tag to Kane as McGillicutty gets in. Turnbuckle Clothesline and Sidewalk Slam gets two. Kane to the top rope and gets his Clothesline. The Chockeslam is coming as he boots Otunga. Mason Ryan tries to intervene and gets KOd by Big Show but Punk distracts him which gets Nexus a steal.

WINNERS: David Otunga & Michael McGillicutty

The announcers plug WWE AllStars real quick. Then run down the card.

Kane and Show talk about what just happened. Show calls him and Kane the Alpha and Omega. Kane says this Sunday won’t be Punks redemption or salvation, it will be his and Nexus’s annihilation.

NEXT: Cena’s match vs. his mystery opponent

OMG ITS ZACK RYDER!!!

Miz comes out first, looks like the opponent and stip will be announced first. The match will be No Holds Barred. He has Cena get out, which he does. Swagger comes out of nowhere and assaults John Cena, who is his opponent.

No Holds Barred
John Cena vs. Jack Swagger
Swagger gets an early advantage and rips Cenas shirt over him. Cena gets a brief advantage but then Swagger beats him down. Swagger just powers John Cena and nails a vader bomb for two as the final break is taken.

Cena is still at a disadvantage after the break. Over the break, Cena was tossed around outside as we are reminded the stipulation is No Holds Barred. Swagger whips Cena into the exposed railing then rolls him in for two. Swagger uses a chair for two. Swagger sets a chair on Cena’s chest, looking for a Vader bomb, hitting it for two. Swagger puts the chair in the corner between turnbuckles but Cena comes back like Superman and starts the shoulder tackles but Swagger hits a powerslam for two. Ankle lock is clinched in the center of the ring. Cena rolls through! Swagger charges and his head meets the chair as both me. And Cena builds momentum with his signature shoulder tackles and spin out powerbomb. He tells Miz “you can’t see me” but Swagger sees a five knuckle shuffle and gets hit with an Attitude Adjustment with an STF which makes Swagger tap.

WINNER: John Cena

Miz tells Cena to enjoy tonight, because on Sunday he will feel disappointment. There are many ways to make a human say I Quit. Miz describes many scenarios which could make Cena say those two words. But he says all the things he listed, he won’t use. He said he found a way to make Cena quit that he never seen before and guaranteed that he will be the new WWE Champion. He asks Cena why he looks at him, as if he doesn’t believe what Miz says. Cena gets A Ry but then meets the pipe. But then Cena turns the tables like superman causing both to retreat. He tells Miz to bring his million ways to make him quit, and bring a million more, because this Sunday he will make Miz say “I Quit”! The two competitors this Sunday stare bullets as the show comes to a close.

5/16 WWE Tough Enough Recap

by J Wilson

The camera shows AJ making his way back in the house. AJ explains the situation to everyone else, and they were surprised to say the least. AJ admits that tomorrow is going to be a long day and says he is dedicated to showing the trainers that they made the right decision keeping him around.

The next morning Trish and Christina are doing yoga while Trish tries to get her to open up as she is worried about Christina being the last female recruit. Trish says she knows Christina is working hard and believes that she can make it.

Its Daily Training time, time again to find out the week’s life lesson. Bill tells Christina that he’s proud of her. The recruits are doing moves in the ring when Austin comes out. The week’s lesson is creativity in move execution. Bill has the recruits do their take on a fireman’s carry as well as an arm drag. AJ, however, is still showing timidness. The trainers catch Jeremiah losing his focus as well.

We’re brought back to daily training as the recruits practice being thrown out of the ring. Austin is pissed about everyone because he isn’t satisfied with how they do so. Booker then shows them all how to throw someone out. Trish comments on the situation saying everyone was being “deadasses”. Then, Luke is rocketted out of the ring by Andy, which drew a LOT of heat from the trainers. Bill said they wasted his and their time. Austin tells them all to get lost.

Back at the house, Andy is on a TE laptop looking at a video of his little daughter, which brightened his crap day a bit. Then he called his wife and talked to her a bit. He knows its tough on her, but he’s in competition for a reason.

The TE compound is paid a visit by Kelly Kelly, Eve, and the Bella Twins, much to the surprise of the guys; seeing them enter their domain. The divas give Christina some compliments on how she is doing, which she appreciates. The recruits are taken into their limo and out to dinner in an upscale Chinese restaurant. All of them have a good time, Luke does a bit of drinking, Jeremiah talks about how far he’s come, Christina talks more about how far she’s come, which impressed Kelly Kelly. AJ talks about his recent shortcomings. One of the Bellas makes it clear that its important to make himself get noticed in a good way. Then Jeremiah gets smacked…twice! Then Luke gets smacked and the two guys playfully smacked each other. This segment ends with a toast from Martin.

Next day, the recruits are brought to THQ HQ to create their own dynamic superstar profile, which they seemed to have fun with. Now they get to talk about it. Jeremiah is first, his is “The Natural”, Christina named her character Mikayla. Jeremiah was a clear winner. AJ came up with Jaxon Crash, while Luke chose “Legend”. Hope he doesn’t run into Randy Orton. AJ explains that he was thinking of a metal head. Luke explains that he learned not everything is about moves. Martin went with a Warrior look alike while Andy went with a character named Silent Rage, a homage to everything in his mind. He asks the THQ rep who he would bring into his next game and chose Luke. Austin dismisses the crew for more ass kicking by the trainers

We come back and its a night time training session. Jeremiah is of the impersonation that everyone, including himself, needed it. AJ once again was not showing anything new to the trainers, which pisses them off. All of a sudden, a pop and Martin went down fast. He sees a medic, he hurts the inside of his ankle. Bill showed a genuine concern because Martin can’t even stand on it at first. He is taken by the medic to a local hospital while he worries about his standing in the competition.

In the morning, Martin had not come back yet. Luke shows legitimate concern for him, but that doesn’t change how he is going to perform in today’s skills challenge. The recruits do calisthenics as Martin comes in on crutches. The diagnosis is….he fractured his ankle and the doctors won’t clear him for competition. Its tough to see him go out like this, and you can tell this wasn’t what he wanted. Austin summons him into his office. He says he hates to see Martin leave and talks about when he was really worried about being able to come back from injury. He tells Martin that if wrestling is his passion, he’ll be able to continue.

Austin pointed to the wall of belts and said he took everyone else’s belts because they couldn’t hack it, but he’s not gonna do that. Austin let Martin hang it up himself, it would be the only time he did that for anyone. Martin swears that he’ll be back. Everyone gave him a standing ovation, which meant a lot to him. He said godwilling, he’ll be able to rebound, and is glad that he was able to leave the competition and not have to quit or be ejected.

Five people remain, but Martin’s injury does not stop today’s skills challenge. They have 2 minutes to demonstrate everything that they’ve learned, with one move from the top rope. AJ and Christina are first, Bill tells Christina to own this and he believes in her. Chrstina appears to cominate the whole match even giving AJ a bodyslam with a slap right after. Top rope move she does is a double axe handle…but then she landed bad….this isn’t good. Bill blames it solely on AJ. Austin calls for no elimination tonight and tells everyone to leave. One thing is for sure, AJ needs to go….
