Former WWE announcer in hot water

Todd Grisham is already in hot water with his new employer, ESPN. The former WWE announcer, now an anchor for ESPN News, used the term “trail of tears” in reference to Oklahoma losing to Texas Tech Saturday night in college football. Due to a storm of complaints, ESPN and Grisham himself apologized. The term “trail of tears” is about Native American Cherokees who had their land taken from them in Georgia and had to move to Oklahoma. Grisham has Cherokee blood, but claims he didn’t even realize he used on air. source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter
