Former WWE Superstar Shad Gaspard Arrested This Weekend
- Former WWE star Shad Gaspard was apparently arrested over the weekend in Columbus, Ohio for what his wife calls “crossing the street.”
Shad’s wife wrote the following on Twitter last night:
“This is Shad’s wife everyone. I want to address the rumors that are going on around the Internet right now about Shad’s arrest. He was indeed arrested today, in Columbus. No use denying it. But Shad did nothing wrong, he was trying to attend the Arnold Classic, and can you guys believe that the Columbus police department has nothing better to do than arrest him for crossing the street????!! That’s what they got him for “pedestrian in roadway” I think we should all stand up and be heard! Too many cops abusing their authority!! Apparently they even decided that it was necessary to tackle him…. I am very disappointed in those who “serve and protect” right now.”
She then went on to note that Shad’s bail had been posted and they have hired a lawyer. She also said that footage of the incident was available and that it was being released to TMZ and other media outlets.

WWE News & Notes
- Mark Trout sent word that Jake “The Snake” Roberts is starring in a new movie called Little Creeps, with Dustin Diamond & Lark Voorhies of Saved by the Bell fame, among others. The preview reads like this:
“Just because something is a myth doesn’t make it fiction. This is a philosophy that one eccentric college professor (Lee Arenberg) believes when it comes to the Demonicron, a book said to open the gates of Hell. When he somehow locates the book, he decides to conjure its demons to do his bidding. However, when he only manages to say half the words required to summon them, he gets only half size demons. This leads to an often comical romp as the demons show that though they are half size, they are twice the trouble.”
- A nasty rumor that John Cena had passed away this morning has been spreading through Twitter today. There’s actually a large number of fans who were falling for the hoax. One fan wrote: “My whole office almost broke down in tears!”
– Evan Bourne, The Rock, Triple H, Alex Riley and others were all trending worldwide on Twitter during last night’s RAW.
- Bret Hart wrote the following on Twitter last night about The Rock’s promo: “Nice promo from the Rock… Although his trophy case could use some work to bring it up to Hitman standards!”
- WWE is planning a in-ring showdown between The Rock and John Cena for an upcoming RAW before WrestleMania, likely the March 14th or March 21st show. With Steve Austin appearing on next week’s show, it isn’t expected that The Rock will be there because of concern that it might be overkill, but that’s not confirmed.
